Services

Samyc offers web design, graphic design and related creative services as an independent freelancer based in Japan, working remotely with clients in English and French.

Every project starts with a written quote describing scope, deliverables, price and timeline. Work begins only after the quote is accepted. The signed quote or contract — which includes the operator's full legal name — prevails over these general terms in case of conflict.

Payments

Unless the quote says otherwise, projects are invoiced with a deposit before work starts and the balance on delivery. Deposits cover work already scheduled and begun, and are non-refundable once production has started.

Intellectual property

Upon full payment, the client receives the rights to the final deliverables as defined in the quote. Samyc retains the right to display completed work in its portfolio unless the client requests otherwise in writing. Working files, drafts and rejected concepts remain the property of Samyc unless the quote states otherwise.

Liability

This site and its content are provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Samyc is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of this site or of delivered work — including loss of profits, data or business. Liability for any project is capped at the amount actually paid for that project.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Individual client contracts may agree on a different governing law where both parties sign it.
